Worried about one of my roommates credit check

submitted

I'm about to move into my first apartment with 3 other people. Myself and my partner are being forced out of our houses so we really need to get out soon. But we aren't trying to rush into a crappy situation. We're going to a B+ apartment complex in the area so we can keep our jobs and live fairly the same way.

Anyways, this other couple we are about to room with, we've grown to love and trust. We learned about some debt on their end and one of them has a credit score of 535. My partner and I have been obsessive over making things like that perfect. Our credit scores are 750+. We really want to help her get that number back up. Credit is so complicated for no reason until you have a good teacher, which I'm glad I had my partner and now we can pass that on.

In the meantime, we need to go. We submitted an application that said there will be a third-party screening process by Rentgrow. I am so worried that her credit score at the moment is going to get in the way of us getting this apartment. We all have stable incomes as of this year. We meet income requirements. Has anyone ever applied for an apartment with a low credit score? Does having roommates with good credit scores help?

TLDR: 4 roommates. 3 with 750+ credit scores. 1 with a 535. Will we be able to get an apartment together?
