Two different debt collectors have sent letters to collect $500 for ATT Mobility.

This is my first post in here, sorry for any missing info, (just ask!) so the regional manager of ATT signed me up for firstnet in 2022. It’s for first responders, but being a landscaper she said it falls under something that was accepted. It wasn’t. I have never received anything from ATT saying I owed anything. I’ve received a letter from two different collectors now. The first time I called the manager that helped and got the regional manager back into the store, and “she was going to take care of it as an apology for the nightmare” clearly she didn’t. Both notices are the same price, no late or extra fees. ATT mobility is named the original, and current creditor who is owed. Am I obligated to pay? What if I continue to ignore? I live in Massachusetts if that helps with any legalities. Really appreciate any solid advice you can give!
