Resources to learn more about current and previous design trends as well as the history of popular styles? (New to interior design)

I’m just getting into researching interior design for my own apartment, and it’s spiraled me into actually really enjoying learning about all the branching styles, history, and possible collaboration of styles that exist. I love all of the subtle nuances than connect styles, and the extreme differences between others.

It seems like such an incredible art form, and I just really want to learn everything about it I can. My question is, what are the best resources for research into the history of ID? Is there like, a “Bible” that some other special interests and art forms have?
