Here's How to Spot Fake Airpods

Summary

You should see your AirPod’s serial number inside the case on the inner side of the lid. If there’re nothing there, your AirPods aren’t genuine. Don’'t worry too much about whether the number is on your case’S left or right side. Make sure to check 1) if there’s a serial number printed on both buds and 2) if it’S the same number on both. Original AirPods issue different serial numbers for the case and the buds. If you’re using iOS 17, this process will be much easier, and you won’t have to conduct any checks. CT scans on real and fake AirPods revealed that the fakes skimp on a lot of internal components. Usually, your AirPod packaging will tell you if they’re fake. Fake Apple products often mess up the bite taken off the Apple logo.
