In Las Vegas, cellphone users were able to call the department AT&T incorrectly updating a whitelist in 2017 led to a five-hour outage across the US. This wouldn't be the first time an issue at a cellular carrier had led to an outage. "The FCC has already begun investigating the 911 multi-state outages that occurred last night to get to the bottom of the cause and impact," says FCC.
